I would say my makeup style is focused on creating a fresh and natural but enhanced long lasting finish. I want you to be over the moon with your makeup, and like faces, no two brides or weddings are the same, so I’ll work with you during your makeup trial to create a look that will make you feel like an enhanced version of yourself that will last you all day and night. Nothing makes me happier than the moment when someone looks in the mirror after having their makeup done and their faces light up with happiness with the final result.
We all know the bride is the focus of the day but I also specialise in makeup for mums. As we age our concerns and makeup needs change. I often have mothers of the bride who are worried about redness, lines, hooded eyes and discolouration, just to name a few. I take great pride in creating a makeup look that combats any areas of concern and leaves them feeling fresh and beautiful.
I’m a self proclaimed product junkie so I make sure I’m always up to date with the trends and products from brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup by Mario, Hourglass, NARS, Eye of Horus, Stila, MAC, Rare Beauty, It Cosmetics, Milk Makeup and more. Every product in my kit has been tried, tested and hand selected by me so I have complete confidence in their finish and staying power.
MY STORY & EXPERIENCE
*** Executive Producer turned Makeup Artist ***
After falling in love with all things makeup while working on production sets, I decided I wanted to further my skills to help people feel more beautiful and confident through makeup. I was also able to use my makeup skills for my production work but after a long while in the TV industry I decided to leave to pursue my makeup career and start a family and have been happily doing makeup ever since.
I was lucky enough to be trained by the talented Susan Markovic (MAKEUP MODE) back in 2013 and learnt to specialise in the craft of bridal makeup by New York based celebrity makeup artist Tobi Henney. Through my time assisting Tobi I learnt not only how to create stunning bridal looks but how also to ensure a relaxed pre-wedding environment for brides to enjoy while they get pampered in the lead up to the main event.
My background as an Executive Producer in television production, including live TV, means I am no stranger to deadlines, schedules and sometimes tense environments (not that there will be any tension in the makeup chair!). Over the years I’ve learnt how to get the job done happily, take the pressure down and keep things on track. I also understand the importance of details and communication so you won't be waiting days to hear back from me or be unsure of things. I will provide you with a seamless, stress free makeup experience right from your first contact through to your big day or event!
